Don’t let legacy QA testing processes hold you back

Have you implemented a manual testing process only to discover you’re struggling to understand the complexities involved in long testing cycles. Do the time-consuming, resource-intensive and repetitive tasks making you annoyed. Are you noticing a far from satisfactory ROI?

Managing manual test execution tasks can be complex and difficult

Many companies face these challenges because 80% of their time is spent on repeated iterations and execution of the code which are all tasks a legacy testing process simply can’t do. That’s why it is important to invest in automating manual processes. Businesses these days are compelled to leverage technology to not only help them in their jobs but also address many issues facing with their current tools, which are often reactive and standalone. The promise of technology can be hard to resist but it is rise of disruptive technologies and growing technology expectations that is making QA automation one of the most important functions of application lifecycle.

We all know how important it is to properly execute testing processes. Most of the time, this work is performed manually by a staff member who jots down the requirements, writes manual test cases, executes each manual test, reports bugs and prepares test report. This is time consuming and it opens the process up to human error – which results in a delay in reimbursement for the work you’ve performed.

How many times have you thought: “surely there’s a way to execute tests multiple times with ease, and still meet the deadlines and make it useful,” or “there must be a way to automate this manual and repetitive data entry we are doing.”  Chances are that, it’s crossed your mind on more than one occasion. It is not that the existing systems are not meeting the requirements, they may be meeting. After all, organizations have spent a lot in maintenance, periodic updates, and training resources over the years. From time to time businesses carefully analyzed, reviewed test results and made changes wherever required. In organizations where this is the scenario, convincing them that an investment in automating manual processes is a business priority could take some time.

Despite of the fact that much of the efforts went into maintaining of legacy systems, there is nothing that tells it can help them in their project endeavors. Whether we accept or not, legacy processes have always been manipulated, tweaked and customized from time to time, this has left them unprepared to meet digital age demands. As if that is not enough, these archaic systems are often not ready to interact with other systems and are often resource-intensive & error-ridden.

Are your manual QA testing efforts not yielding desired results?

Tired of trying so hard to get nowhere. The answer could be in your legacy testing processes. It’s no surprise that product quality & customer satisfaction can make or break your business. How confident are you about successfully using QA manual testing processes for your organization needs? Despite 60-80% of organizations relying on it, the results are far from satisfactory.
